To find the Polygon Tool click on the shape tool and hold it down so the drop-down appears with the various shape tools. Select the Polygon Tool that has a hexagon shape as the icon.
Draw the shape on your artboard at this point it will create a hexagon but don’t worry we can adjust the number of sides. Keep the shape selected and at the top of the menu bar click on the text ‘Shape’ this is where you’ll be able to change the number of sides on your polygon shape.
Set the number of sides to 3 and your shape will automatically turn into a triangle.

Select your triangle and using the bounding box that surrounds the shape you can proportionately scale the triangle to your liking.
Drag it either from the left or right side to make it wider. Drag it from the top or bottom to make it longer.
If you want to scale the triangle you can do so by holding down Shift on your keyboard and dragging one of the points on the bounding box.
